Course Overview

It doesn’t matter if you have just left school or fancy a career change later in life, the Level 3 Gas Engineering Apprenticeship is available to anyone who is 16 and over.

The course typically last 18 months and coincides with working with an employer where you can hone in on your skills learned at our training centre.

Gas engineering involves the safe installation, commission, decommission and the ongoing service and repair of gas appliances in either a domestic or non-domestic setting.

We pride ourselves in operating smaller, more personal classes which ensures our students feel valued with training that feels bespoke to them. This allows our students to achieve to their full potential in an engaging, positive and enjoyable environment.

Entry Requirements

Despite many thinking that apprenticeships are reserved for the younger generation, you can enrol onto an apprenticeship at any age over 16.

Another myth is that you need to have prior experience in plumbing before enrolling on the Level 3 Gas Engineering Apprenticeship course and this is simply not the case.

The only requirement for you to be enrolled is being employed by a gas safe registered employer.

If you can’t find an employer yourself, we will do everything we can with our contacts to help find you one so you can start your apprenticeship.

However, If you don’t have these qualifications, we will offer Level 2 training and assessment in maths and English which allows you to add to your skillset and enables you to undertake the end point assessment to pass the Level 3 Gas Engineering course.
