I want to be a plumber, is the Level 3 Gas Engineering Apprenticeship course right for me?

Our diploma covers the fundamentals of plumbing but specialises in gas engineering, which means you will not only be acquiring key plumbing skills but will also be undertaking a wider range of jobs within the plumbing and heating industry, perfect for your future career.

Do I need prior experience in plumbing before enrolling?

No, you don’t need any prior experience before starting the Level 3 Gas Engineering Apprenticeship course with us, the course is designed to cater for all experience levels.

Is there an age limit to start the apprenticeship?

The apprenticeship is open to anyone aged over 16 who isn’t in full time education and there is no upper age limit, so if you are just starting a career or fancying a change later on in life, the Level 3 Gas Engineering Apprenticeship is perfect for you.

I haven’t got a GCSE in Maths and English, can I still take the course?

Yes, you can still enrol on our Level 3 Gas Engineering Apprenticeship.

If you don’t have a GCSE 9-4 (A*-C) in Maths and English, we will incorporate Level 2 Maths and English into your programme.

This allows you to add to your skillset and will enable you to undertake the end point assessment to pass the course.

Parents/Guardians:

As a parent/guardian of a student, what will they get out of the Level 3 Gas Engineering Course?

They will become Gas Safe Registered and can begin a rewarding career as a gas engineer/plumber. The average salary for a gas engineer is £37,500 per annum and the demand for engineers has never been higher.

Yes, you can earn up to £1,000 from a government grant which you will be able to use to assist and elevate your organisation.

How often will the apprentice be in college?

Apprentices are required to attend one day a week meaning they can spend the rest of the week working alongside you.

What paperwork is needed for an apprentice to start and is it time consuming?

We are extremely proud of our hassle-free sign-up process. We know employers are busier than ever and our ‘single point of contact’ approach means we take the bulk of the workload off you, minimising time consuming-paperwork and admin tasks that traditionally have been a major headache for employers.

How much will it cost my company to send an apprentice to you?

For apprentices aged under 19, the course is fully funded by the government.

For apprentices aged over 19, the government funds 95% of the apprentices training cost, meaning employers will be required to contribute the remaining 5%.
