Domestic Hot Water Storage Systems (Unvented) Course
Course overview:
This course is aimed at plumbing and heating professionals who want to install vented and Unvented Domestic Hot Water Storage Systems to comply with appropriate building regulations and standards.
The course is based around the manuals for England & Wales which covers Approved Document G3, Part L1 and Part P of the building regulations.
Assessment consists of a combination of practical and theory examinations. The course starts with theory-based training about the four modules and this is followed by three assessments including one practical. Candidates must successfully pass all three assessments to successfully obtain the BPEC Domestic Hot Water Storage Systems certificate and competency card.
Pre-Requisites:
Those taking the course must fall under the below categories:
- Have a recognised trade qualification e.g., NVQ/SNVQ Level 2 or 3 in plumbing and heating or Domestic Heating.
- Be working towards one of the above qualifications
- Or have evidence of a number of years’ experience in the plumbing & heating industry.

Expiry information:
Certificates are valid for 5 years and candidates are eligible for reassessment within 12 months of expiry.
